2 Corinthians 12:9-10 says, "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if life were always sunny, joyful, and easy? No one wants to face difficulties or trials, yet we all know that’s not how life works. Hard times are inevitable. But this verse reminds us of the incredible help we find in the Lord during those challenging moments, especially when we feel weak. It is precisely in those tough moments—when we really need the Lord—that He reveals His power and goodness.

If it weren’t for sickness, anxiety, or fear, we might never experience God’s healing, peace, or boldness. Without uncertainty, we wouldn’t see God’s wisdom, guidance, or the assurance of His faithfulness. Whatever you’re facing today, God has exactly what you need, in abundance, and He longs to provide it to you. His promises are sure: He will walk with you through every moment and see you through it.

God may not always come through in the way we expect, but His hand is over every detail of our lives. Take a moment now to think about what you need from God and quietly ask Him to provide it. He will give you what you need so that in your weakness, you can find strength through Him.

Parenting often brings us face to face with our biggest weaknesses and limitations, leaving us feeling inadequate or overwhelmed. But 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 reminds us that God's grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in our weaknesses. Reflect on the areas of your life where you feel weak or insufficient. Whether it’s your patience, wisdom, or strength, know that God’s grace covers all your shortcomings.

Consider the difficult areas of your life and remember that He uses your weaknesses to display His power and strength. As you journey through the ups and downs of parenthood, may you find peace and confidence in God's sufficient grace. Let His strength empower you, and rejoice in the knowledge that when you are weak, He is strong.
