Hebrews 10:22 says, "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water."

The Bible tells us to draw near to God. At the feet of our Father is where we find peace, comfort, wisdom, and strength. Positioning yourself in His presence throughout your day, seeking to find ways to ensure He is at the center of all you do, is the best way to thrive in parenthood. Isn't it beautiful to have a God who wants you to draw near to Him? What's even better is that the verse doesn't say to draw near quietly and worried, fearing judgment for your sins. It says to draw near with a sincere heart and with complete assurance, knowing you are welcomed, wanted, and valued exactly as you are.

The Lord desires your attention and adoration. In His presence, your heart, mind, and body will be cleansed. You will leave changed, never the same as when you came. God doesn't require us to sort out our lives or cleanse ourselves before coming into His presence. He wants you as you are—real, human, fragile, and imperfect. He promises to do a good work in your life. Make it a priority to seek out time with the Lord every day so that He can do a good work in your heart, mind, and body.

How much better will you be able to serve your family if you make seeking God your first priority? It will change you, how you live, and how you parent. Time with God is never time wasted.

As parents, our days are often filled with chaos and busyness. Yet, in the midst of it all, God invites us to draw near to Him with a true heart and full assurance of faith. This verse reminds us of the importance of coming before God sincerely, trusting in His grace and forgiveness.

When we draw near to God with a true heart, we acknowledge our dependence on Him and our desire to align our lives with His will. This act of drawing near is not just a one-time event but a daily practice of seeking God's presence and guidance in every aspect of our lives, including our parenting.

God promises that when we come to Him, our hearts will be cleansed and our bodies purified. This cleansing empowers us to parent with integrity, patience, and love, knowing that we are supported and strengthened by God’s presence.
